The ArthroStim® Instrument is a means of physically stimulating neural receptors at highly effective thrust rates. These receptors, in turn, produce a stream of nerve impulses that travel from the area to the brain.
The brain then uses this nerve impulse information to update its "neural picture" of an area. The brain then sends out commands, which initiate self-corrective responses.
The ArthroStim® Instrument capitalizes upon the natural feedback cycle which the nervous system uses to organize itself. The ArthroStim® Instrument delivers a rapid series of recoiling thrusts to target tissues. This produces reoccurring movement, which, in turn, creates a barrage of afferent impulses-information, which the nervous system can use to modify dysfunctional patterns.
By utilizing the same mechanisms that the nervous system naturally uses to control biomechanics, correction can be achieved using reduced forces.
